Terms & conditions

Designhouse ("we", "us") is a design studio established in the Netherlands, selling printed design work and design services through this website.

Contact: designhousestudioss@yahoo.com or phone +31 6 27210449. Our Chamber of Commerce (KvK) number is 42173387. Our VAT (BTW) number is stated on every invoice.

These terms apply to every offer, order and agreement between us and a customer placed through this website.

Where you order as a consumer (a natural person not acting in the course of a profession or business), the mandatory provisions of Dutch consumer law in Book 6 and Book 7 of the Dutch Civil Code apply. Nothing in these terms limits the rights those provisions give you.

All prices shown to consumers include Dutch VAT (BTW) and are stated in euros. Delivery costs, where they apply, are shown separately before you confirm your order.

Payment is made at checkout through our payment provider. We confirm every order by email; that confirmation is the moment the agreement is concluded.

Unless we agree otherwise in writing, we deliver within 30 days of your order, as required by Dutch law. Stated production times for printed work are indicative and start once your artwork or final proof is approved.

The risk of damage or loss passes to you once you, or a party you designate other than the carrier, has received the goods.

If we cannot deliver within the agreed period, you may set a reasonable further period; if we still fail to deliver, you may cancel the agreement and we refund all payments without delay.

As a consumer you may cancel a distance purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving a reason. The period runs from the day you receive the last item of your order.

To exercise this right, tell us clearly within the period by email at designhousestudioss@yahoo.com. You may use the Dutch model withdrawal form, but that is not required. After withdrawing, return the goods within 14 days; the direct cost of return shipping is yours unless we state otherwise.

We refund all payments received, including standard delivery costs, within 14 days of receiving your notice — we may wait until we have received the goods back or you have proven they were sent.

The right of withdrawal does not apply to goods made to your specification or clearly personalised — this includes printed menus, cards, leaflets, logos and websites produced to your own brand, artwork or text (Article 6:230p of the Dutch Civil Code).

For those items you can still review and correct a digital proof before we print. Once you approve the proof, production starts and the order can no longer be cancelled.

Everything we deliver must match the description, quality and quantity you could reasonably expect. This legal conformity right applies for as long as is reasonable given the product — it is not limited to a fixed number of months and it is free of charge.

If a delivery is not in conformity, you may ask for repair or replacement first and, where that is not possible or proportionate, a price reduction or cancellation with a refund.

Small deviations in colour, paper shade and trim are inherent to printing and are not, on their own, a lack of conformity.

You warrant that any text, image, logo or font you supply may lawfully be printed by us. You indemnify us against third-party claims arising from material you supplied.

Unless we agree otherwise, we transfer the usage rights to the final delivered design once payment is complete. We keep the right to show the work in our portfolio unless you ask us in writing not to.

We are liable for damage caused by our own intent or gross negligence, and for any liability that cannot be excluded under Dutch law. Any other liability is limited to the invoice value of the order concerned.

Complaints can be sent to designhousestudioss@yahoo.com. We answer within 14 days; if we need longer, we tell you when to expect a full reply.

Dutch law applies. Disputes may be brought before the competent Dutch court, and consumers in the EU may also use the European Online Dispute Resolution platform.
